DIGITAL PUBLIC HEALTH

This year, we are delighted to join forces with the International Digital Public Health (DPH) Conference series. The DPH Conferences are world leading annual interdisciplinary events aiming to improve public health through the application of novel technology at the personal, community and global levels. This year’s EPH Conference in Marseille will feature a full track on Digital Health. For those with work of a technical focus (e.g. computer science, data science, big data systems and analysis, development of technology), we recommend submitting your paper/abstract through the DPH submission system. Deadline for submissions is 25 May 2019.

For those with a public health, medical, practice-based focus (e.g. healthcare systems, training, policy), we advise submitting your abstract through the EPH Conference system, under the dedicated ‘Digital Health’ Track. Deadline for submissions is 1 May 2019.

THEME: BUILDING BRIDGES FOR SOLIDARITY AND PUBLIC HEALTH

Health is regarded more and more as a wide societal concern. The public health community has responded to this challenge by building bridges with professionals from other domains of society: food, transport, social services, environment, etc. Marseille has for centuries been one of gateways for people crossing the Mediterranean but, in recent years, that journey has been characterized by tragedies among those seeking a better livelihood in Europe. The Marseille conference offers an opportunity to build new bridges: of working together between the public health communities in Europe and Africa, seeking solutions to our shared challenges as inhabitants of a small planet now facing global threats, from climate change, emerging infections, and the global epidemic of non-communicable diseases.
